In last 5 – 6 years, Panama’s Azuero Peninsula’s east coast has come out as a kind of gold coast. Traveling south, you hit Chitre, after that its Los Santos, then Las Tablas, Playa Venao, Pedasi and at last Cambutal. At times, it feels like that you have come to the end of the world.

In last 2 years, Billabong has arranged 2 major international surfing competitions. In this country, even in the remote region of the country, the infrastructure is quite good and improving rapidly. Anywhere, you visit in this country, you will see new roads, and the authorities have started to repair old roads and bridges.
Las Tablas made the headlines for its low cost living and Carnival celebrations in last few years. But very recently, Pedasi is attracting entrepreneurs, expats and investors from across the world. A surfer guy is staying in this place for years. He told that he likes this place because the surfers find the cool places, then pretty girls follow them and then they follow the girls and this is how it works.
